Update: Sam versus Sandy

Hi Friends,

It’s me, “Lucy” from Closer to Lucy.

Sam asked that I check in and update folks for her.

As many on you know, Sam lives in an area hit by Sandy. Given that Sam lost everything to Isaac last year Sandy’s arrival was much dreaded and a huge source of anxiety for Sam and her family.

But so far so good…….She’s lost power and suffered some minor damages but she and her family are doing well….all things considered.

She’s heard that power may not be restored until as late as November 5^th. That little tidbit gives me the shivers…it’s cold out there. Let’s hope that her intel is wrong because that is too long to go without heat.

I’ll try and keep everyone updated and see if I can’t scrounge up a giveaway or two to keep you company until Sam is able to get back online.

In the meantime, she asks for our prayers for everyone in Sandy’s path and sends good thoughts to those dealing with the aftermath.
